"We are still people!" A graduate of a Chuvash school spoke out against the principal at the assembly

A scandal has erupted in Chuvashia: a graduate of one of the schools publicly condemned the actions of the principal, accusing her of bias and creating an unhealthy atmosphere for students. Despite attempts to silence her voice, the schoolgirl received support from classmates and parents.
The epicenter of events was the Yan-Norvashskaya secondary school of the Yantikovsky district. During the ceremonial assembly dedicated to the end of the school year, a student decided to talk about cases of humiliation and psychological pressure from the director. Attempts to interrupt the speech and turn off the microphone did not break her, and other schoolchildren supported the brave girl.
The schoolgirl stated in plain text that for a year the school principal not only bullied her, but also spread false information, calling the girl “inferior” and threatening to register her with a mental health clinic.
The decision to speak out was driven not only by personal grievances, but also by a desire to protect other students who faced similar treatment.

It turned out that similar cases had occurred previously, when the principal held a leadership position at another school.
Ekaterina Mizulina highly praised the schoolgirl’s civic position and expressed hope that the Chuvash Ministry of Education will conduct a thorough investigation of this incident.
In connection with the publication on the Internet of information about the probable bullying and inappropriate attitude of the management of the Yan-Norvashskaya Secondary School of the Yantikovsky District towards one of the graduates, the Prosecutor's Office of the Chuvash Republic has initiated an investigation.
As part of this investigation, with the participation of competent authorities, a thorough clarification of the circumstances of the incident will be carried out, the fact of its commission will be established, as well as a check will be made as to whether such an attitude has affected other students at the school.
If the information is confirmed, the prosecutor's office will take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future and bring those responsible to justice in accordance with the law.
After the scandal became public, other students decided to complain about the principal’s bullying.

"It's sad when it happens. I think the girl spoke out simply out of despair and a sense of injustice. I think the Ministry of Education of the Chuvash Republic should pay attention to this situation," Ekaterina Mizulina wrote on her Telegram channel.
The problem of bullying is all-Russian. According to the VTsIOM study, 31% of respondents said they had experienced bullying from a teacher. Victims of aggression from teachers are not only junior school students who are unable to defend themselves, but also senior school students who, despite the opportunity to fight back, do not do so for certain reasons.
There is no universal solution to this problem, psychologists note . Everything is determined by the specific situation, the personal characteristics of both the child and the teacher. The primary task of parents is to make the child understand that he is not alone. Independently fighting against teacher tyranny is an impossible task for a young person.
To effectively combat teacher bullying, parents can take the following steps:
Have an honest conversation. Start by discussing the problem with your child to understand what is happening and to assure them of your support.
Recording incidents. Carefully record each incident of bullying, indicating the date, time, location and details. Audio and video materials will be a strong argument when contacting school management.
Negotiations with the teacher. Discuss the problem with the teacher. Try to find out the motives behind his attitude towards the teenager. Explain what impact his behavior has on the child. Conduct the conversation in a constructive manner. If there are comments about the child's behavior or academic performance, take them into account and try to get the teenager to correct the shortcomings.
Appeal to the management . If the conversation with the teacher did not lead to an improvement in the situation, contact the school administration with an official complaint, backing it up with the evidence you have collected. Make two copies of the statement. Keep one with a mark of acceptance and the director's signature. Lawyers advise recording the conversation on a dictaphone.
Complaint to higher authorities . If nothing has changed after talking to the school principal, you can contact the Department of Education, law enforcement agencies, or the prosecutor's office. An appeal to these authorities can bring even the most stubborn teachers to their senses.
